With word of a Baird Jones remembrance party tonight, I figured I’d break out these two photos from the archive that show the notoriously pushy Webster Hall curator in action with his handy voice recorder. During an exhibit for Japanese artists back in 2006, Baird tried to get Jeffrey Deitch to comment on something or other, and as you can see by the gallerist’s body language and shuttered eyes, it wasn’t too successful.

Just when you thought the only thing gay about flying was the flight attendants, Air New Zealand presents it’s ‘Pink Flight of Fabulosity,’ billed as the “first North American gay-themed flight.” It’s slated to shuttle passengers on nonstop journies between San Francisco and the down under gay capital of Australia to celebrate the 2008 Sydney Mardi Gras. Whee.
